​Camfil awarded international Trophy for equality and diversity

New York, United Nations HQ, September 16th: Camfil has been awarded the first GEEIS-SDG Trophy which positions equality as the driving force for accomplishment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). The jury consisted of representatives from Arborus, UN Global Compact, UN Woman, UNESCO and UNDP.

GEEIS is an internationally recognised label for companies with an effective commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace. Camfil, represented by Eva Bergenheim Holmberg EVP HR, Agnès Genevois VP HR Continental Europe & British Isles and Nyanyui Siliadin, GEEIS-D & Compliance leader Camfil France , received the award on September 16th at the United Nations in New York from the hand of Serge Cristinane, Minister of the EU delegation in UN.

The main Camfil initiatives being awarded the GEEIS-SDG Trophy were the “Camfilles Project” which promotes equal opportunity for school children in France by providing internships at the company. The projects has also been extended to support education at the Diebougou orphanage in Burkina Faso.

“Equal opportunity and diversity are crucial for empowerment of our people and success of our business. With the GEEIS-SDG Trophy, we can promote Camfil as a sustainable and attractive workplace and support our business mission to make clean air a human right” said the Camil team in their speech having received the award.

Mark Simmons, CEO and President of the Camfil Group stated in a video showed during the ceremony that - “ embracing change, equal opportunities, GEEIS and sustainability provide a better world for generations to come."
