Camfil Expands Hi-Flo Range with New ePM1 70% Filter: Raising the Bar on Energy Efficiency and Indoor Air Quality

July 2, 2025 – Stockholm, Sweden – Camfil, a global leader in clean air solutions, proudly announces the latest advancement in its flagship Hi-Flo® range with the launch of the Hi-Flo ePM1 70% air filter. Building on the momentum of 2023’s introduction of the Hi-Flo ePM1 60% and ePM10 60%, this new model delivers an impressive 12% improvement in energy performance, as an average across multiple sizes, compared to its predecessor, reinforcing Camfil’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and clean air. The release coincides with the introduction of the updated EN16798-3 standard, which redefines air filtration requirements for various building categories. The new classification emphasises the importance of ePM1 70% filters across:

  • SUP1: Critical buildings such as hospitals and pharmaceutical facilities
  • SUP2: General buildings with permanent occupancy, including office and commercialspaces

The enhanced Hi-Flo ePM1 70% filter meets and exceeds the filtration performance now recommended for these sectors, offering a smarter, more energy-efficient solution for modern building ventilation systems. “The Hi-Flo range has always been available for all building types, but due to our continued focus on improving performance, the Hi-Flo range continues to push the industry in terms of performance lifetime and energy efficiency,” says Paula Nowojska, Product Manager at Camfil. “With the release of the Hi-Flo ePM1 70%, we are proud to enhance our full range offering, that not only meets the latest regulatory standards but also helps our customers reduce their environmental footprint without compromising on air quality.”

The Hi-Flo ePM1 70% filter represents another milestone in Camfil’s mission to provide high-performance air filtration for healthier, safer, and more sustainable indoor environments across all industries.
